2016 Guest Artist

David_Dwyer.jpg

An East TN native, David Dwyer has made a career in film, television, and theatre. David has been an active Screen Actors Guild member for 29 years and has appeared in nearly 100 films and TV series. He was recently seen as "Earl" on Netflix's hit series, Stranger Things. Currently, he is shooting a new show for Cinemax called Outcast. He has worked with many well-respected actors including John Lithgow, Gene Hackman, Denzel Washington, and Sandra Bullock, appearing in films such as Selma, The Blind Side, and Remember the Titans. Several years ago David was brought back to performing in the theatre, after an absence of nearly 30 years, for a production of Amadeus at the Clarence Brown Theatre on the University of TN Knoxville campus. That experience proved fortuitous as it reignited his love and passion for extraordinary theatre. David has always loved a good story, well told, so he is proud and excited to be on the board of a Knoxville-based professional non-profit theatre, Flying Anvil.
